Edition 4 Rising AIQ Report

Eight category-relative Rising AIQ findings show where emerging-product recommendations strengthened in Cooper’s fourth immutable edition.

The Edition 4 Rising Reading

Rising is Cooper's category-relative view of newer or emerging software options. Edition 4 records the products that ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, and Perplexity place highest when asked that direct question across 80 software categories.

Rising AIQ is a 1–100 recommendation-strength score inside one category's Rising ranking. It is separate from Best, Most Affordable, and Easiest to Set Up. A product can lead Rising without leading any other question, and raw Rising AIQ values from unrelated categories should not be compared.

Forty Rising leaders changed between Edition 3 and Edition 4, while 40 held. Twenty current leaders have a Rising rank from all four assistants, 14 from three, 27 from two, and 19 from one. Six are ranked #1 by all four assistants.

Breadth Is Not the Same as Unanimity

Assistant breadth counts how many assistants gave a product a category rank in Rising. It does not say that they used the same position. A three-assistant leader can combine a #1, a #2, and a #6, while a one-assistant leader reflects only one ranked result. The report states those positions directly so narrow evidence is not mistaken for broad agreement.

Sources and Mentions describe the week's verified evidence footprint across all four public questions. They provide an audit trail around the answers, but they are not treated as the cause of Rising rank or movement.
